Questions

FAQ & important notices

Is this website a law firm or legal service?
No. eSignVirginia.com is a technology platform that helps connect Virginia signers with commissioned Virginia notaries. We do not give legal advice or represent you as an attorney. Always consult a licensed Virginia attorney for legal questions.
Who can use remote online notarization?
You must be physically located within the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of notarization, present acceptable identification, and meet all other requirements under Virginia law and your chosen notary’s policies.
How are documents stored?
Uploaded documents are stored in a Supabase Storage bucket associated with esignvirginia.com. Access is restricted by role-based policies you configure in your Supabase project. Notaries may maintain separate records as required by Virginia law.
What about pricing and payments?
Fees for notarizations are set and collected by your assigned notary, subject to Virginia’s maximum fee rules and any additional remote service charges. This demo code focuses on intake and tracking; you can integrate Stripe, PayPal, or your preferred processor in the notary dashboard.
Is this page ready to publish as-is?
The page is wired for Supabase but still requires you to: create the noted tables and bucket in your Supabase project, paste your Supabase URL and anon key into the script below, and confirm that your RLS policies align with your compliance and security requirements.
